CNA / Certified Nursing Assistant, Full-Time,2pm-10pm

About the Role:

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs various direct resident care activities under the supervision of a licensed nurse. This role assists residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), supports activities and programs, and provides essential care as needed, following standard nursing practices and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Vital Signs & Observation: Obtain vital signs, record findings, and notify the supervising nurse of any deviations in accordance with the Individual Service Plan (ISP).

  • ADL Support: Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, skin care, dressing, toileting, incontinence care, and positioning.

  • Medication Assistance: Provide medication assistance, as applicable, with proper training and delegation.

  • Mobility Assistance: Support residents with ambulation, transfers, and positioning, including wheelchair use and bed mobility.

  • Housekeeping Support: Assist with making beds, changing linens, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.

  • Documentation: Complete progress notes and documentation accurately and in a timely manner, following the resident’s service plan.

  • Communication & Safety: Report changes in residents’ conditions to the supervisor, follow infection control procedures, and adhere to standard safety precautions.

  • Resident Interaction: Demonstrate a respectful, compassionate attitude toward residents and their personal property.

  • Professionalism: Follow dress code standards, provide proper notice for absences or tardiness, and comply with all community policies and procedures.

  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned within the CNA scope of practice.

Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.

  • Experience: Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

  • Certification: Completion of a skills competency evaluation required.

  • Language Skills: Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.

  • Training: Must complete a minimum of 12 hours of in-service education annually.

  • Additional Requirements: Must pass a criminal background check, not be listed on the Employee Misconduct Registry, and have reliable transportation.
