We’re looking for a Staff Accountant who is ready to take the next step in their career, gaining hands-on experience across financial reporting, monthly close, and day-to-day accounting operations.
In this role, you will support a multi-property portfolio while developing the skills and confidence to take on increasing ownership over time.
About the Opportunity
This role supports a 7-property portfolio across senior living and multifamily communities. You will be involved in full-cycle accounting, monthly close, and financial reporting, working closely with both corporate and onsite teams.
You will be part of a collaborative accounting group that values accuracy, consistency, and growth. This is an opportunity to deepen your accounting foundation while gaining exposure to how financials directly impact property performance.
What You’ll Own
- Support full-cycle accounting, including monthly close activities
- Prepare and assist in reviewing monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
- Handle journal entries, accruals, and reclassifications to maintain accurate general ledgers
- Perform balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations
- Support Accounts Payable processes, including vendor setup, invoice review, and weekly check runs
- Assist in managing key payments such as taxes, mortgages, rent, and lease obligations
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and supporting documentation
- Partner with onsite teams to ensure accurate financial data and reporting
- Contribute to ad hoc reporting, analysis, and special projects
What Success Looks Like
- You build a strong understanding of the portfolio and accounting processes within your first 60 to 90 days
- Monthly close tasks are completed accurately and on time
- Financial data is organized, reliable, and easy for the team to use
- You identify discrepancies and work through them with support from the team
- You communicate effectively with both accounting and operations partners
- You continue to grow in confidence, ownership, and technical skill
Who This Role Is For
- 1 to 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in property accounting, multifamily, hospitality, or public accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
- Experience supporting monthly close, reconciliations, and general ledger activity
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with financial data
- Organized and detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable working onsite in a team-oriented environment
