Step Out of the Field and Into Preconstruction Leadership

Looking to take the next step in your construction career and move into a more structured, office-based role?

Integrated Real Estate Group (IREG) is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to support planning and budgeting efforts across multifamily apartments, senior living communities, affordable housing, and memory care projects.

This role is ideal for someone with 3–5 years of construction experience who understands how projects are built but is ready to transition into preconstruction, estimating, and project planning.

You’ll play a key role in shaping projects before they break ground - working alongside development, design, and construction teams to ensure projects are set up for success.

What You’ll Own

  • Support preconstruction efforts from concept through project start
  • Assist with estimating, budgeting, and cost analysis
  • Review drawings, specifications, and conceptual designs
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and assist in cost estimates
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and internal teams during design development
  • Help develop and maintain project budgets and schedules
  • Support value engineering and cost optimization efforts
  • Solicit and review subcontractor and vendor bids
  • Identify potential risks, scope gaps, and constructability issues
  • Assist in preparing budgets, proposals, and presentations
  • Support smooth handoff to project management and field teams

What Success Looks Like

  • Accurate, organized estimates and project budgets
  • Strong collaboration between preconstruction, design, and construction teams
  • Early identification of risks and cost-saving opportunities
  • Smooth transition from planning into active construction

Who This Role Is For
This role is designed for someone ready to grow into preconstruction:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
    (or equivalent hands-on experience)
  • 3–5 years of experience in construction (field, estimating, or project support)
  • Experience with multifamily, senior living, or similar projects preferred
  • Strong understanding of construction methods and materials
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency with tools such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and willingness to learn

What Sets You Apart

  • You understand construction - but want to grow beyond the field
  • You’re detail-oriented and enjoy working through plans and numbers
  • You’re proactive and eager to learn new systems and processes
  • You want a long-term career path in preconstruction or development

Why This Role

  • Transition from field work into a structured, office-based role
  • Gain exposure to budgeting, estimating, and project planning
  • Work on a diverse pipeline of multifamily and senior living developments
  • Clear opportunity for career growth into senior preconstruction or project management roles

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability
Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 05/31/2026
Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
