Porter / Groundskeeper - Full Time

The Porter / Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining peak appearance of the property exterior at all times.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to

  • Responsible for making sure the grounds look immaculate at all times.
  • Will help with make ready’s and assist the maintenance department at all times.
  • Cleans and picks up trash from around the trash dumpster, ensuring a clean and tidy appearance at all times.
  • Cleans and arranges furniture and trash receptacles in pool area(s). Possesses pool operator's certificate. Test chemical level of pool water on daily basis and checks to maintain proper chemical balance.
  • Cleans and maintains club facilities in an orderly, presentable and decorative fashion.
  • Maintains cleanliness of office and all other amenity and common area facilities assuring general cleanliness of grounds, laundry rooms, walkways, streets, driveways, parking lots, entrances, foyers, breezeways, recreational areas, etc. May perform exterior building light checks and assist with repairs and replacement of same.
  • Performs supplemental landscape maintenance and irrigation system repair and/or supplemental watering of lawn and landscape areas so that landscape areas are tidy, trimmed and properly watered. May be required, in the absence of separate yard crew or outside landscape maintenance contractor, to perform extensive in-house landscape and gardening duties such as mowing, edging, trimming, sweeping, pruning, weeding, fertilizing, planting, etc.
  • Thoroughly trashes out vacated apartments designated by supervisor and prepare same for make-ready and re-renting, including carpet repairs, dying and shampooing as needed.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to pass background & drug screen.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must speak and write English.
  • Must have physical strength to move dumpsters 3 times a week with little to no assistance.
  • Must have swimming pool maintenance experience
  • Prefer high school graduate, although this is not mandatory.
  • Previous groundskeeper/porter experience helpful, but not required.
