Human Resources GeneralistWe are seeking a proactive and driven Human Resources Generalist with a strong focus on employee training, development, and retention to join our corporate team. This hybrid role supports day-to-day HR operations while playing a key role in building a culture of continuous learning, professional growth, and long-term employee engagement across our organization.
The ideal candidate is people-centered, highly organized, and passionate about developing others. You’ll manage core HR functions while creating and leading training programs, supporting onboarding, and helping employees and managers thrive.
Training & Development
- Assess training needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and feedback from leadership.
- Design, develop, and deliver engaging onboarding, orientation, and professional development training.
- Create or source manuals, job aids, and course materials for a variety of learning styles and platforms.
- Lead training sessions in person and virtually using formats like lectures, simulations, discussions, and video.
- Track training progress, attendance, testing, and recertification needs in a learning management system (LMS).
- Evaluate training program effectiveness and continuously improve content based on feedback and results.
- Stay current on best practices in learning, development, and instructional design.
- Act as a front-line resource for employee questions related to benefits, leave, and company policies.
- Support supervisors in handling performance issues, disciplinary actions, and personnel documentation.
- Assist in managing employee relations, including investigations and conflict resolution.
- Partner with Payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee changes and benefits deductions.
- Lead onboarding efforts and ensure new hires receive necessary training and support for success.
- Assist with retention strategies, employee engagement initiatives, and career pathing programs.
- Maintain accurate personnel files in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in an HR Generalist, Training Specialist, or similar role.
- Demonstrated ability to create and deliver effective training programs in a professional setting.
- Strong understanding of HR principles, employment laws, and employee relations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with ADP and LMS platforms preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel up to 25% to locations across Texas.
