Leasing Consultant

About the Role:

The Leasing Consultant serves as the property’s leasing representative, professionally presenting the community’s features and benefits to prospective residents and securing lease agreements from qualified applicants. This role requires a strong customer service focus, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to creating a welcoming and comfortable experience for residents. Evening and weekend availability may be required.

Responsibilities:

  • Leasing & Marketing: Greet visitors, manage inquiries, and schedule property tours from prospect calls.

  • Leasing Performance: Record and follow up with prospects in OneSite; achieve leasing goals with a strong closing ratio.

  • Move-In Coordination: Prepare lease packets and ensure all required move-in documentation is completed prior to move-in.

  • Unit Readiness: Coordinate with maintenance to ensure apartments are move-in ready, including keys and mailbox setup.

  • Resident Services: Route and follow up on maintenance requests; manage package delivery and resident notifications.

  • Resident File Management: Maintain and update resident files, including collecting required documentation such as renter’s insurance.

  • Property Support: Maintain clean, staged amenities and model units; regularly walk tour paths to ensure presentation standards.

  • Property Management Support: Assist in maintaining curb appeal and support the planning and execution of resident events.

  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, as well as Fair Housing and ADA regulations.

  • Customer Service & Resident Relations: Deliver excellent customer service and escalate recurring resident concerns to management as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with property management software (e.g., OneSite) preferred.

  • Experience: At least 1 year of prior apartment leasing experience preferred.
